got it primed

on may 15th i joined the VESI (Volkswagon Enthusiasts of Southeast Idaho)and have enjoyed talking to other vw people a great guy flyboy (brian) sold me a set of fenders for my bug to day i tore into one of them sanded for a few hours pounded out a few small dents skin coated with bondo and am almost ready for primer

its been a long winter

it has been a long winter but it is finally spring kinda bought a new house over the winter and it has a garage yippy so after we get moved in i will be working on my bug more cant wait to get the body off and can get started on the pan

havent done much

i have not done anything to the bug but i have been looking for ideas i really like this color scheme i am i dont know what colors but it will be two tone

i pulled the rear fenders off today not too bad for an almost fourty year old car there is one bad spot on the right side above the fender but really not to bad i will need to replace the rear apron

i started tearing down the front end today once i took the bra off i noticed that there was a lot more damage then i thought the hood is shot and the fenders are not much better it will need new strut towers surprisingly the spare tire well is in good shape i will need a new front apron yes that the engine in the front

aug 5 09 pick up bug

at the end of july i bid on and won a 72 super beetle on e bay i went to pick it up when i got there the guy i bought it from told me that the keys had been stolen so i could not unlock the steering wheel so we had to pick up the front end and turn it we got it on the trailer and drove the three hours home i am really upset that i forgot my camera these photos are from after we got home and got it unloaded
